The next time we talk I'll be in Jordan...

Goodbyes have been said and some tears have shed, but now it's time to turn forward and seize this opportunity for all it's worth.  I leave for the airport in a little over an hour from now.  Or, more accurately, I'll be going to a hotel right near JFK where I'll meet the rest of the group and participate in an orientation session during the afternoon. Then, we'll have an early dinner and head over to JFK. We're scheduled to depart at 10:30 tonight, but we won't arrive in Amman, Jordan until Saturday at about 4:45 pm local time (9:45 am Eastern Time, I think) at the earliest.  Then it's onto the bus for a 2 hour drive to Irbid where we can finally settle down.

I'll be sure to update the blog as soon as I can when I arrive.  It's pretty exciting to say that the next time we talk I'll be in Jordan!
